Leicester City Women’s Football Club are excited to be recruiting for a talented coach to lead the Youth Development Phase teams (U14 & U16) and assist with the U21’s., Plan and communicate the weekly, monthly and seasonal schedules to staff and parents in a timely manner and in partnership with key staff such as operations, player care, medical and physical.

-Plan, deliver and review high quality coaching sessions that follow the LCWFC philosophy and provide focused player development objectives.

-Plan and deliver a competitive games programme for the YDP age groups, ensuring a good variety of opposition and challenge – utilising the appropriate leagues and friendlies available.

-Provide mentoring and support for the part time coaches working across the YDP phase.

-Support designated U21 training and games in an assistant coach capacity as directed by the HOA and U21 lead coach.

-Contribute to the academy MDT, attending meetings, providing updates and working in collaboration to ensure efficient process for a high-performance programme.

-Track player development ensuring all players receive quality feedback within the formal IDP process. Liaise with pathway analyst to provide appropriate video analysis and data.

-Work with players considered as top talent to ensure the appropriate challenges are in place for their development. Working with the ETC Manager and PDP Lead to progress players through the pathway.

-Support players called up to regional, national and international representative squads/activity.

-Report on the progress of the players and squads within the YDP, providing reports to the MDT/Senior Management alongside ensuring a robust retain and release process.

-Contribute to the collation of evidence for audit and ensure the club is adhering to all relevant rules and regulations in collaboration with the Head of Academy and Operations lead.

-Sharing any safeguarding concerns with the Women’s Safeguarding Manager and/or Women’s Designated Safeguarding Officer

In May 2021, LCFC Women were promoted to the FA Women’s Super League. From its formation in 2004, the Club was run on an amateur and semi-professional basis with support from Leicester City Football Club. In August 2020, the Club turned professional after being acquired by King Power International – Leicester City’s parent company – and realigned as a core team in Leicester City’s football operation.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience of working within women’s football, developing players within the YDP category. The role will involve leading the programme for the YDP age groups and working alongside the ETC Manager and U21’s Lead, to create an effective player pathway through the LCWFC Academy., The successful candidate will have natural enthusiasm for working with young people, laying the foundations of the Academy’s football philosophy, however, will also value and engage with the Multi-Disciplinary Team to ensure consistency and operational efficiency throughout the Academy.

LCFC Women offers a competitive salary and pension scheme. Employees are able to benefit from free onsite parking. Employees also benefit from up to 33 days’ annual leave including bank holidays (pro-rata for part time contracts).
