Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week

Contract: 12 month fixed term contract

Lead a programme that opens doors, creates opportunity, and makes a lasting difference in our community. We are looking for a Programme Coordinator – Employability to lead and coordinate a high-impact, multi-agency employability programme in partnership with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). You will support a minimum of 200 young adults aged 16–24, ensuring they receive the right guidance, support, and opportunities to move into employment, apprenticeships, education, or training.

You will ensure 100% of referrals to our Youth Employability Hub receive CV support, an individual employability action plan, and access to wider support around financial, housing, and mental health needs, where appropriate. Through strong leadership, partnership working, and data-led delivery, you will help achieve positive outcomes, with 35% progressing into employability or apprenticeships and 35% progressing into education or training.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to support and develop staff and volunteers
  • Confidence working with partners and managing multi-agency relationships
  • A values-led approach aligned to inclusion, respect and community impact
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, compliance and risk management
  • Comfortable working with data, KPIs and reporting requirements

What you’ll do:

  • Coordinate and oversee delivery of a multi-agency employability programme
  • Lead, support and develop staff, volunteers and Grow Your Own participants
  • Build and maintain strong, mutually beneficial partnerships
  • Ensure high-quality, inclusive delivery that meets agreed outcomes and KPIs
  • Monitor attendance, engagement and progression, addressing barriers as they arise
  • Oversee accurate data collection, reporting and evaluation
  • Promote the programme and share participant success stories
  • Ensure safeguarding, governance and compliance standards are met throughout

You may be required to work outside of normal office hours, at evenings and weekends. Location – LCitC is based at King Power Stadium, Leicester. The delivery of sessions will take place at partner schools/Local Community centres etc and some aspects of the role will require homeworking, therefore you will need the ability to travel across multiple sites across Leicester and Charnwood.
