About The Role & Who We're Scouting

We're on the lookout for a passionate and skilled Casual Academy Physical Performance Coach to join our team at LCFCW. As a Casual Academy Physical Performance Coach, you'll play a key role in planning and delivering physical performance sessions aligned to a physical curriculum to the academy age group, primarily under 14s and under 16s. You'll also be present for scheduled pitch-based and gym-based training sessions as well as matches played by the designated academy age groups.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Support the development and delivery of sports science programmes to enhance player performance and availability.
  • Conduct physical profiling and monitor player workloads using gym data and GPS systems to inform training decisions.
  • Assist with planning and delivering gym, pitch-based, conditioning, warm-up, recovery, and rehabilitation-support sessions.
  • Work closely with the Medical Department to support injury rehabilitation and return-to-training processes.
  • Contribute to a high-performance culture aligned with the Clubs four-corner player development model.
  • Operate as part of a multi-disciplinary team, uphold safeguarding responsibilities, and complete ad-hoc duties as required.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience working in Physical Performance Coaching and you'll need to bring the following skills and experience to the table:

  • Delivering S&C sessions, monitoring and evaluating performance, and supporting match-day preparation.
  • Maintaining accurate records and supporting injury prevention and rehabilitation processes.
  • Coaching, educating, and managing workloads of young players.

Communication & Teamwork

  • Excellent communicator able to build trusted relationships with players, parents/guardians, and staff.
  • Collaborative team player with strong time management, confidentiality, and decision-making skills.

Technical & Professional Skills

  • High attention to detail, strong IT skills, and ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to work evenings/weekends and travel independently.

Essential Qualifications

  • BSc in Sports Science (or related).
  • Recognised Strength & Conditioning qualification (e.g. UKSCA pathway, BA WLA Leaders Award).
  • UKSCA or ASCC accreditation.
  • FA DBS, FA Safeguarding Children Certificate, FA Level 2 EFAIF UKAD Clean Sport Advisor.

Desirable

  • MSc in Strength & Conditioning or related discipline.
  • BASES accreditation.
  • Experience in academy or professional women's football and working with children/adolescents.
