Inspire. Educate. Empower. Leicester City in the Community (LCitC) is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and dedicated Premier League Primary Stars Coach to join our Community team. This exciting opportunity will see you deliver engaging, inclusive and impactful programmes in primary schools across Leicestershire, using the power of football to inspire children to be active, develop key life skills and achieve their full potential. The Role
As a Premier League Primary Stars Coach, you will deliver high-quality curriculum-based physical education, classroom learning, teacher support and intervention programmes within primary school settings. Working closely with schools, pupils and colleagues, you will help create safe, engaging and inclusive learning environments while ensuring all sessions meet the standards expected by the Premier League Foundation and Leicester City in the Community.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality Premier League Primary Stars sessions in primary schools.
- Plan and deliver engaging PE and classroom-based learning activities aligned to the National Curriculum.
- Create safe, inclusive and positive learning environments for all participants.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, partners and colleagues.
- Accurately record attendance, programme data and impact measures.
- Ensure all sessions are effectively planned, reviewed and resourced.
- Promote participant achievements and support programme promotion.
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety and risk management procedures at all times.
- Champion diversity, equity and inclusion, removing barriers to participation wherever possible.
- Contribute to wider Leicester City in the Community events, initiatives and community programmes.
Person Specification
- Essential UEFA C Licence (or Level 2 Football Coaching Qualification) and/or a UKCC Level 2 Coaching Qualification or equivalent.
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant and Level 4 Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualifications specialising in Physical Education (L3TA and L4HLTA), and/or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Alternatively, a 1st4Sport Level 3 Certificate in Supporting the Delivery of PE and School Sport.
- Candidates who do not currently meet the above educational qualification requirement must be willing to attend the 2026/27 CPD Programme delivered in partnership with the Premier League Foundation and The FA Education.
