Leicester City in the Community (LCitC) is looking for an ambitious, creative and relationship-driven Fundraising Manager to lead and grow our unrestricted income generation. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and deliver a fundraising strategy that will directly support programmes transforming lives across Leicester and Leicestershire.

About the Role

As Fundraising Manager, you will develop and deliver a comprehensive fundraising strategy designed to generate unrestricted income and support the long-term sustainability of Leicester City in the Community. You will lead a diverse range of fundraising activities, including:

  • Securing and developing Community Corporate Partnerships.
  • Creating and activating community fundraising challenges and events.
  • Delivering high-profile showcase fundraising events.
  • Growing individual giving and supporter donations.
  • Developing engaging digital fundraising campaigns.
  • Maximising Leicester City Football Club experiences, assets and networks to enhance fundraising opportunities.

This role requires a proactive, commercially aware and innovative fundraising professional who can build strong relationships, identify opportunities and demonstrate the impact of fundraising activity.

What You'll Be Doing

Building Partnerships

  • Develop and manage Community Corporate Partnerships.
  • Cultivate and steward individual donors and supporters.
  • Work closely with LCFC colleagues to maximise club assets, experiences and fundraising opportunities.
  • Represent LCitC at networking, community and stakeholder events.

Delivering Fundraising Campaigns

  • Create and implement compelling fundraising campaigns and appeals.
  • Work collaboratively with marketing and communications colleagues to develop impactful content, storytelling and digital campaigns.
  • Promote fundraising opportunities across a range of channels to engage new and existing supporters.

Driving Performance and Impact

  • Achieve agreed unrestricted income targets.
  • Monitor fundraising KPIs and provide regular performance reports.
  • Evaluate return on investment and manage fundraising budgets effectively.
  • Demonstrate and communicate the impact fundraising has on local communities.
  • Celebrate and share fundraising successes with supporters and stakeholders.

Leading People and Culture

  • Collaborate across teams to identify new fundraising opportunities.
  • Support colleagues and lead volunteers involved in fundraising activity.
  • Champion an inclusive, positive and supportive fundraising culture.
  • Contribute to organisational wellbeing, engagement and team success.

Governance, Compliance and Safeguarding

  • Ensure fundraising activities comply with relevant legislation, regulations and best practice guidance.
  • Maintain accurate donor and financial records in line with GDPR requirements.
  • Complete risk assessments and ensure fundraising events are delivered safely.
  • Protect children, young people and vulnerable adults, safeguarding both participants and the reputation of LCitC and LCFC.

About You

We're looking for someone who can combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery and has a genuine passion for creating positive social impact.

Essential

  • Experience developing and delivering a successful fundraising strategy.
  • Proven track record of generating unrestricted income and achieving fundraising targets.
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
  • Understanding of the charity and not-for-profit sector.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and networking abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, budgets and priorities effectively.

Desirable

  • Relevant fundraising or sector qualifications.
  • Experience working within a charity linked to a professional sports organisation.
  • Knowledge of Leicester's diverse communities and community engagement approaches.

You may be required to work outside of normal office hours, at evenings and weekends.

Location

LCitC is based at King Power Stadium, Leicester. The delivery of sessions will take place at partner schools/Local Community centres etc and some aspects of the role will require homeworking, therefore you will need the ability to travel across multiple sites across Leicester and Charnwood.
