About The Role & Who We’re Scouting We’re on the lookout for a passionate and enthusiastic individual to join our squad at Leicester City Football Club. As an apprentice within the Gardens & Landscape team, you will assist in the maintenance and enhancement of the Club\'s gardens and landscaped areas while undergoing a structured training program. Under the guidance of the Gardens & Landscape Manager and working alongside skilled and knowledgeable operatives, the apprentice will learn essential skills regarding horticulture, plant identification and care, landscaping techniques and specialist equipment. Whilst no specific previous experience is required, the successful candidate will; * Have a strong interest in horticulture, gardening, or landscaping * GCSE pass grade in Maths and English (with other relevant subjects such as Biology, Geography or Design & Technology seen as beneficial) * Willingness and commitment to continuous learning towards the successful completion of the Apprenticeship end point assessment * Have a basic understanding of mechanical principles and tools * Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual tasks including outdoors work, heavy lifting, and standing / walking for extended periods Core duties within the role will include; * Learning and development - participation in a structured apprenticeship program * Horticultural assistance - this includes routine maintenance of LCFC sites and skills such as mowing, weeding, planting and watering * Equipment operation - learn and develop skills in the operation of specialist tools and machinery in a safe and efficient manner * Landscaping projects - assisting in the delivery or projects such as the installation of new gardens, borders and pathways, enhancing the aesthetic appeal of LCFC sites * Demonstrate an understanding of Health & Safety rules and ensure compliance at all times * Accurate record keeping * Collaboration with the wider Sports Turf & Grounds team If you think your experience and skills match, and you’ve got the drive, energy, and skills to work in a fast-paced, high-performance environment, we want you on our team!
