About The Role & Who We’re Scouting
We’re on the lookout for a passionate and skilled Academy Performance Analyst to join our squad at Leicester City Football Club. As Academy Performance Analyst, you’ll play a key role in working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver high quality Performance Analysis support to aid the individual development of our players.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Filming identified FP (Foundation Phase) and YDP (Youth Development Phase) fixtures, with a focus on the U9 to U14 age-groups.
- Filming training as per the requests of the coach and department management.
- Conducting match and player coding to provide team and individual statistical and video content against Category 1 and 2 opposition.
- Preparing/delivering pre-match tactical and objective information for players and coaches.
- Preparing post-match presentations and evaluating team tactics and match objectives in line with our playing philosophy.
- Providing individual player feedback in conjunction with the coaches.
- Providing analysis to FP ages as requested by coaches and Academy Lead Performance Analyst.
You will need to possess excellent presentation skills, accuracy and attention to detail, demonstrating honesty, integrity, reliability and the ability to ensure confidentiality at all times. You will possess strong time management skills and have a flexible approach to work whilst being able to communicate in different mediums, listen, interpret and convey information in a clear and accurate manner whilst providing timely delivery of information by selecting the most appropriate method of communication.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience working within a team environment, co-operating with and considering the needs of others to help achieve objectives. You’ll need a minimum 2:1 Sports Science/Performance Analysis or other relatable degree and be well-versed in using SportsCode analysis software programs.
