Exciting Leadership Opportunity in Regulatory Services – Team Manager, Licensing & Enforcement
Are you a dynamic leader with the skills and experience to inspire and manage a high-performing team? Leicester City Council is seeking a passionate and proactive Team Manager to jointly lead our Licensing and Enforcement Officers, ensuring that our city\’s premises, venues, and taxis are fully licensed and operating to the highest standards for the benefit of the public.
This challenging and rewarding role offers the chance to play a pivotal part in driving transformational change within the regulatory service. As a key member of the management team, you will champion a culture of performance excellence and foster strong collaborative working relationships across teams and partner organisations, both internally and externally.
Your leadership expertise will be vital as you represent the council at leadership forums and council meetings, providing confident and knowledgeable input on licensing and enforcement matters. You will also be pivotal in developing strategies and implementation.
This part-time position offers flexible working of 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with occasional out-of-hours responsibilities to meet service needs.

What you\’ll be doing
You will lead and manage a team of regulatory officers to ensure they do their best work. You will use your Leadership qualities and your technical expertise to drive excellence within the Licensing Service. You\’ll represent the service at external and internal meetings and produce the necessary documentation required.
What you\’ll need
You will need to have experience of leading and managing a Team of professional officers, providing guidance on technical matters. You\’ll have a proactive and constructive approach to dealing with change, fostering a cohesive and collaborative environment within the Team and Service. You\’ll have good IT skills to draft reports, letters and use various applications and systems.
