Overview
Leicester City Council is seeking a Manager in the Procurement Team to deliver high‑value, complex procurement projects. The role is full‑time, 37 hours per week, permanent and hybrid – requiring a minimum of two days per week from the City Hall office.
Responsibilities
You will lead cross‑functional teams to develop and implement innovative procurement strategies for categories of goods, works and services. You will secure the best quality at competitive prices, deliver efficiency savings, manage supplier relationships, and mitigate supply chain risks.
Qualifications
Significant experience in public sector procurement, tendering and contract management processes is required. Strong leadership skills, commitment to completing the Procurement Act 2023 training (TPP) within four weeks of starting, and a satisfactory Standard DBS check are essential.
