Are you looking to join our trees and woodlands team? We are looking for a reliable and proactive individual to help maintain our operational areas, ensuring they remain safe, organised, and efficient for daily use. As the base for the Council's Trees & Woodlands Team, the Beaumont Park Depot plays a vital role in supporting essential environmental and grounds operations across the area. This is a part time role working 5 days a week (08:30 - 14:00) on a permanent basis. You will be located at the council’s Beaumont Park Depot.
Responsibilities:
- Operate plant equipment, including forklift and tele-handler with loading shovel.
- Follow written and verbal instructions accurately and complete basic documentation as required.
- Manage a wide range of deliveries to the depot and work outdoors in all weather conditions, carrying out tasks involving manual handling.
- Apply a good understanding of relevant health and safety practices and work independently with minimal managerial supervision.
Required qualifications:
- Qualified plant operator, including forklift and tele-handler with loading shovel.
- Full driving licence.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Confidence in handling deliveries, manual handling tasks, and outdoor work.
