The predicted salary is between 42839 - 54495 £ per year.
A welcome payment of £5,000 will be offered to a suitable candidate with appropriate experience. (This will be paid following a successful 6 month probation period) Hybrid working arrangements are available with a large degree of flexibility around home working.
As part of our continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced adult social care solicitor to join our well regarded, friendly and supportive Adult Social Care legal team. This is your chance to be part of a respected, professional service at the forefront of safeguarding and social care law. The focus on the team is on enabling quality service delivery, working in partnership with the client department to help ensure positive outcomes for adults within the city of Leicester. You will hold responsibility for a diverse and rewarding caseload of adult social care and related matters, providing quality legal advice and support including undertaking advocacy for the Council. This is a career graded post (LG Band 9-LG Band 11). Appointment to a level will depend on the outcome of the selection process and experience of the successful candidate. Progression will be by satisfactory performance, agreed at annual appraisals and through on-going supervision.
What you will need
- You will have post qualification experience of adult social care cases including mental health, community care and judicial review.
- You will have demonstrable advocacy, negotiating and advisory skills together with a good appreciation of risk management.
- You will be highly motivated with strong organisational skills and a pro-active approach which will ensure that you are able to successfully prioritise work.
- Your excellent communication skills, both written and oral, will ensure that you are able to work with a wide of people and represent the service in a professional, client focused manner.
