We are seeking a driven and technically skilled Project Manager / Surveyor to join our Hard FM Minor Works team, delivering refurbishment and alteration projects across a diverse public estate. This full‑time, fixed‑term role (37 hours per week for two years) offers flexible hybrid working based at City Hall with remote options and requires site visits across Leicestershire. Salary: GBP42,839 – GBP46,142 per year, total benefit value £62,918.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver minor works projects of varying scale and complexity across the council’s estate
  • Manage projects end‑to‑end, including scope development, procurement, delivery, and handover
  • Chair site and progress meetings, ensuring quality, compliance, and performance standards are met
  • Monitor budgets, control costs, and ensure value for money
  • Apply technical knowledge of Hard FM and statutory compliance to ensure best practice
  • Drive sustainability initiatives, identifying opportunities to reduce carbon impact and support climate goals
