Play a key role in creating and facilitating high quality commercial workspaces for business tenants. We run buildings with offices which are let to exciting start-ups and SMEs. Our friendly team provides an outstanding serviced workspace and creates a supportive environment for our customers which enables them to focus on their businesses. We have Dock 1-5, which are vibrant workspace buildings for tech businesses based at Space City Leicester. There are 120 individual offices and industrial units across Dock, which are leased to innovative and hi-tech businesses who are then our customers. We also have Gresham Works which is an exciting development in the centre of Leicester with a combination of offices, co-working spaces, and meeting rooms. Our customers who are based here are from a mix of businesses sectors. This is a unique opportunity and an exciting time of growth, where you'll have the chance to develop and flourish in your role. You'll be critical in our ambitious journey to develop world class service for commercial workspace in the city. This is a full-time, permanent post working 37 hours per week from Monday to Friday. Occasionally you may be required to work out of normal office hours. You will either work at Dock, Gresham Works or sometimes between both.

What you'll be doing:

  • Managing a team of Workspace Support Assistants and Cleaner/Caretakers, you'll efficiently run the building operations and administration to deliver amazing customer experiences for our workspace customers and maximise revenue for the service.
  • As an effective leader, you'll have regular quality conversations with the team, provide clear direction, and drive forward the objectives of the service.
  • Adopting an entrepreneurial approach, you'll be working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • You'll assist with marketing and promotion of our workspaces to raise our profile in the city.

What you'll need:

  • You’ll be experienced in managing people, operations of commercial buildings and associated maintenance budgets.
  • You’ll also have a good understanding of health and safety regulations, risk assessments and be digitally well-versed.
  • An effective communicator, you’ll be able to build and maintain strong working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders which includes but not limited to customers, building contractors and other council services.
  • Highly organised, you’ll be able to work under pressure, remain calm and think quickly when faced with setbacks or challenges.
  • Passionate, dynamic, and flexible you’ll create a positive working environment.
