Full Time / 37 Hours Per Week / Fixed Term for 18 months. This is an exciting opportunity to work within the Shared Lives service, which is a unique, community-based service, that provides individuals drawing on support with choice, personalised support and the opportunity to live in or receive support from a family home environment which promotes and develops independent living skills.

Working with teams across (LLR) Leicester City, Leicestershire County and Rutland County Councils you’ll be leading on all marketing and recruitment activities. You’ll help to spread awareness of the Shared Lives services to both external and internal stakeholders and have a particular focus on recruiting new carers into the service.

We have a full time, fixed term vacancy available working 37 hours per week. The fixed term position is for 18 months due to funding. Core working hours are Monday-Thursday 08:30-5 and Friday 08:30-4:30. On occasion you may be required to work outside of these hours. You’ll have flexibility in hybrid working, being based at Halford House in the centre of the city of Leicester or Beaumont Way, with the ability to also work remotely from home to suit the needs of you and the service. However, under our New Ways of Working Policy you’ll be required to work from a non-home location a minimum of 2 days a week.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • In this unique role you’ll be working with the Shared Lives teams in the three local authorities in LLR to plan and deliver communications and marketing activities to promote Shared Lives Services.
  • You’ll develop close working relationships with the Shared Lives Managers in LLR to understand what the services have in common and where they may differ.
  • This will better enable you to develop and lead joint and individual marketing initiatives involving a range of media such as print, digital and social media.
  • You’ll also be responsible for recruiting new carers into the services, requiring you to understand the various communities and deliver local events highlighting the benefits of being a Shared Lives Carer.
  • You’ll foster relationships and be customer focused, supporting potential carers through the application process.
  • You’ll be required to monitor and evaluate the outcomes of all marketing and recruitment activities, identifying any issues or opportunities and taking appropriate actions.
