Position: Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) Officer

Contract: Full time, 37 hours per week, fixed term 18 months.

Location: Hybrid – Home and Leicester City Offices (Halford House).

Salary: £35,412 – £38,220 per year, total benefit value £52,115.

About the Role

You will collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders to create, review, and publish high‑quality, impartial, and accessible information, advice and guidance for adult social care areas. Your work will support people to make informed decisions about their care and support needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong partnerships across adult social care and with external organisations, including local authorities, care providers and voluntary sector partners.
  • Lead the co‑production, creation and refresh of high‑quality IAG content for digital and non‑digital channels, ensuring it is clear, engaging and user‑focused.
  • Carry out independent research and benchmarking to identify best practice and innovative approaches.
  • Lead the ongoing development of the Autism Space website as a trusted source of information.
  • Support service development by promoting the IAG offer, gathering feedback, sharing best practice and contributing to continuous improvement.
  • Ensure information is accurate, relevant and responsive to changing needs.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in a customer‑facing role providing advice, guidance and support in a way that is accessible and user‑focused.
  • Strong communication skills – confident engaging with a wide range of people and building trusting relationships.
  • Experience creating engaging content for varied audiences and collaborating with partners to deliver positive outcomes.
  • Organised, proactive and able to manage workload while maintaining high service standards.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and case‑management systems; confident using IT tools.
  • Commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion and demonstrated professionalism, integrity and confidentiality.
  • Approachable, non‑judgemental and able to support individuals facing barriers to accessing IAG.
