Live Well Services is a specialist Hub Team based at Braunstone Health and Social Care Centre, supporting residents of Leicester to improve their health and wellbeing through smoking cessation, increased physical activity, alcohol moderation, healthy eating, and weight management. This role is full‑time, permanent, and involves working a rota that includes evenings and weekends with flexibility for hybrid working.

Responsibilities

  • Handle incoming referrals and contact clients by telephone to begin the triage process.
  • Respond to email enquiries from the public and professionals such as GP practices, cardiac teams and physiotherapy services.
  • Signpost clients to local authority and community teams, and book appointments with a range of healthy‑lifestyle services within the Live Well Service.
  • Follow up and monitor allocated caseload, respond to missed appointments, arrange follow‑up sessions, schedule appointments and make onward referrals where appropriate.
  • Receive training as a Stop Smoking Advisor and deliver evidence‑based behavioural support, provide nicotine‑replacement guidance and support clients who wish to quit smoking.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a pressurised frontline or customer‑service environment, either telephone or face‑to‑face.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to give clear, concise advice and maintain accurate electronic records.
  • Highly organised and able to work under pressure, handling customer enquiries until completion.
  • Tact, diplomacy and sensitivity when dealing with distressed customers.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: £28,598 – £31,022 per year.
  • Total benefit value: £42,300.95 (includes pension contribution and full holiday entitlement).
