Are you a creative individual with a background in Communications and Marketing looking for a new challenge? Join our dedicated Housing Division to play a key role in ensuring effective information and communication is given to tenants, staff and partners. Reporting to the Programme Manager, you will work in the Regulatory Standards team alongside the Training and Learning Coordinator to ensure the housing division is compliant with the Regulator of Social Housing’s consumer standards. This is a full time, permanent position working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. You may be required to work evenings and weekends. You will have flexibility in hybrid working, being both office based at City Hall or working remotely from home to suit your needs. Under our New Ways of Working Policy you’ll be required to work from a non-home location a minimum of two days.
What you’ll be doing:
- Work alongside colleagues to keep key stakeholders up to date with performance and essential updates.
- Help create and implement successful communication strategies and action plans using social media and conventional channels to reach a wide variety of audiences.
- Ensure all written material meets corporate standards.
- Oversee the divisional policy library and keep key documents up to date and relevant.
- Develop and deliver the Knowledge and Information strategy.
What you’ll need:
- Knowledge and experience of working in a communications or marketing environment.
- Experience designing, delivering and/or commissioning communications in multiple formats (e.g., newsletters, ezines) and advanced knowledge of social media and emerging technologies.
- Ability to make decisions and recommendations to senior staff and leaders to achieve excellent results.
- Ability to work autonomously under pressure to tight deadlines with multiple workstreams.
- Creative and innovative mindset; able to propose new solutions to deliver results.
- Flexible, approachable, people-centered and driven to deliver excellent services.
- Once in post, it is essential to undertake a housing-related qualification.
