In Finance, we play a major role in enabling the council to provide a full range of services to the people of Leicester and our internal employees by making sure they have the resources they need. From working directly with residents to collect rates, advising on areas like housing benefits, to dealing with payments and receivables, we help to enrich people’s lives.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll provide financial and administration support to managers and staff and undertake accurate and timely financial work within any of the teams. Your role at Leicester City Council is vital for the organisation, uniting with other departments to ensure smooth running of the business. You’ll assist with the financial transactional processes by inputting, interrogating, amending, and retrieving information from computerised systems. Whilst being a customer focused Finance Assistant you’ll liaise with both internal and external stakeholders, dealing with queries in a professional manner.
