Title: Customer Support Officer
Contract: Full Time, 37 Hours Per Week, Permanent
Working Hours: 8:30am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday; 8:30am to 4:30pm on Fridays
Locations: City Hall, York House, or neighbourhood locations across Leicester City
Salary: GBP 32,061 – 34,434 per Year
Benefits: Total benefit value (includes pension contribution and full holiday entitlement): GBP 46,953
What You\’ll Be Doing
Act as an ambassador for Leicester City Council by promoting a positive image and delivering excellent front‑facing customer service. Provide high quality telephony and face‑to‑face, front‑of‑house Customer Service, enabling the public to access accurate advice and assistance with service requests, enquiries, and complaints across all Leicester City Council services.
Operate a range of IT equipment and programmes to communicate in a timely manner to relevant sections and organisations, and provide face‑to‑face front‑of‑house support on an ad‑hoc basis.
What You\’ll Need
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with experience of working in a busy environment.
- Experience dealing with customers either over the phone or face‑to‑face.
- Excellent organisational skills and a good working knowledge of IT systems.
