Are you a Personal Trainer who can deliver motivating and engaging sessions for all ages and ability levels? Active Leicester has Casual Personal Trainers across leisure centres in the city. This is an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified casual Personal Trainer who wants to help grow and develop our fitness programmes. Join us as a Casual Personal Trainer and you’ll become a valued member of our highly motivated, passionate, and dynamic team.
As a casual worker, you’ll have the flexibility to take on as many shifts as you like on an ad hoc basis, depending on client demand. Shifts may be available during the day and evening, from Monday to Sunday. You’ll be based at one of the leisure centres but have the flexibility to work across the various sites.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Work closely with the leisure centre teams to deliver 1‑2‑1 sessions to Active Leicester members, ensuring you create a safe and welcoming environment for physical activity.
- Prepare the activity space, set up and dismantle necessary equipment before and after sessions.
- Develop and supervise a programme of exercise.
- Assess the fitness levels of participants and provide expert advice to users of the service.
- Play a key role in expanding the health and fitness offering at Active Leicester and help deliver our vision.
What You’ll Need
- An appropriate Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification and previous instructing experience.
- A good understanding of devising and delivering engaging personal training for participants of varying abilities and from a variety of backgrounds and cultures.
- A passion for physical activity and knowledge of the barriers to participation and how these can be overcome to increase participant engagement.
- Excellent communication skills to deliver high levels of customer service and appropriately deal with irate or distressed customers.
- The ability to motivate and encourage members of all ages to ensure everyone feels confident within your sessions.
