Part Time / 18.5 Hours Per Week / Permanent. Play a key role in managing and reducing anti‑social behaviour across Leicester city non‑council housing areas. An exciting opportunity to be part of a new team working to reduce and tackle anti‑social behaviour across Leicester city. Our approach covers all aspects from prevention, rehabilitation, protection and support of victims and witnesses. Each case is unique and handled proportionately. You will also use the powers of the Anti‑Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act (2014) to resolve complex and high‑risk cases.
What you’ll be doing:
- Respond to reports of anti‑social behaviour across the city in non‑council housing areas.
- Engage with victims, complainants and perpetrators and internal and external partners to manage our response.
- Use an innovative, pro‑active approach to manage and resolve a varied caseload.
- Identify risk and recognise when cases become more complex and require more intensive management or legal action.
What you’ll need:
- Knowledge of anti‑social behaviour legislation and locally agreed approaches.
- Understanding of council services and other organisations that can impact or help address anti‑social behaviour issues.
- Excellent literacy and numeracy skills and strong attention to detail to prepare and manage evidence, compose official enforcement letters and behaviour contracts.
- Proficiency in report writing, ability to create legal bundles and defend decisions under legal scrutiny.
- Organised, able to identify risk and re‑prioritise cases and duties.
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to engage with challenging and hard‑to‑reach individuals.
