Are you a confident administrator who would like to provide a range of support services to the Cleansing Services section? This is a fantastic opportunity for a customer-focussed and highly organised Admin and Business Support Officer to provide consistent and flexible levels of administration and business support to the managers and the staff within Cleansing Services. This service assists in maintaining cleanliness of the streets throughout the city of Leicester.

Based at Leycroft Road, your hours of work are from 8am to 4pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 3.30pm on Friday. This post is temporary until 31st January 2027.

Your Role:

  • As an Admin and Business Support Officer, you'll provide excellent customer care to ensure services run smoothly.
  • You'll be undertaking the management of the cleansing inbox, Love Clean Streets cases and the DASH system.
  • At times, you will be dealing with face-to-face enquiries, answering the telephone, responding to emails and resolving queries in an effective and efficient way.
  • On a day-to-day basis, you will administer spreadsheets, sort and input staff overtime and enhancements on the MSS system, ensuring that the information is accurate.
  • You'll liaise with managers to resolve outstanding queries and will communicate with the Cleansing Operatives using the two-way radio.
  • You'll order office supplies, raise requisitions/invoices and carry out both manual and electronic filing.

What You'll Need:

  • As an Admin and Business Support Officer, you'll use your communication skills to liaise with colleagues to provide excellent customer care when resolving and responding to a variety of enquiries.
  • With your strong organisational skills, you'll be able to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment; ensuring telephone enquiries are answered in an efficient manner.
  • You'll also use your strong IT skills and have the ability to use systems such as the Finance system to raise invoices and stationary orders.
  • With accuracy and attention to detail, you'll be able to record information to maintain up-to-date records and databases.
