Full‑time, permanent Business Support Officer for the Children & Family Centres, providing vital senior administrative support.

Location: Halford House (York House) – hybrid working with both office based and remote options. Hours: 37 per week, Monday to Friday.

What You’ll Be Doing

As an experienced Admin and Business Support Officer, you’ll offer support to the Team Leader and provide on‑site contact for Business Support and other staff. You’ll be responsible for ensuring staff cover and resolving a range of complex and basic queries via telephone, email, and face‑to‑face. You’ll join a friendly team with a range of skills and will guide and support colleagues. You’ll be part of a team that provides a quality reception service within 12 Children & Young Person Family Centres, ensuring all Business Support tasks are carried out to a high standard. This includes minuting complex meetings, developing and training staff, providing excellent customer care and addressing issues as they arise, all with the support of the Team Leader and Business Support Manager.

What You’ll Need

  • High level of communication skills, liaising with colleagues and external clients in a confident and professional manner.
  • Sound understanding of the importance of excellent customer care and the ability to implement this when resolving complex enquiries.
  • Organisational skills, ability to work well under pressure and manage own workload with little direction.
  • Proficient IT skills and attention to detail, maintaining databases to keep data complete, accurate and up to date.
  • Tenacity and creative approach, able to analyse data/information and provide effective and innovative solutions.
