Overview

Full Time / 37 hours per week / Permanent. Do you have the skills, passion, and enthusiasm to be an effective leader for a busy admin & business support team in Neighbourhood Services for Libraries and Community services. This is a Full-Time position working 37 hours a week, based in our administrative headquarters.

Responsibilities

You\'ll support, coach and manage the team to provide to the people of Leicester City a first-class customer service. This also includes coordinating, monitoring, and managing business systems for half-a-million library stock items, and business support for 25 current facilities. You\\\'ll manage performance of your team by being honest and challenging constructively. You will look to cultivate a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging and enabling the team to reflect and act on evaluation and feedback through coaching and mentoring.You\\\'ll provide clear direction and effective people and performance management by setting objectives, agreeing outcomes, monitoring and measuring outputs and holding individuals and team(s) to account.It goes without saying that a commitment to working in partnership with other organisations/people within and outside the team, treating people with fairness and respect and developing trust between those others will ensure continued positive outcomes for our customers.

Qualifications

Excellent communication and people skills experience in order to effectively manage, coach and lead a team. You\\\'ll have excellent administrative and IT skills to co-ordinate, monitor and manage business support systems and financial processes as well as the capability to take a lead role in specific admin tasks, as directed by the Area Development Manager. You\\\'ll have working knowledge and understanding of the following IT systems Open Revenues, Agresso, Microsoft Word, Excel. And the ability to learn and coordinate library management system processes, such as cataloguing and ordering of book stock.You\\\'ll have a sound understanding of Neighbourhood Services, Libraries and Community Centres. and use your proven organisational skills to work under pressure, meeting set objectives and deadlines as well as managing conflicting priorities.
