Full‑time position (37 hours per week) within Leicester City Council’s adult social care legal team. A welcome payment of £5,000 will be offered to a suitable candidate with appropriate experience, payable after successful completion of the 6‑month probation period. Hybrid working arrangements are available with flexibility around home working.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high quality legal advice and support on adult social care matters, including mental health, community care and judicial review.
  • Represent the Council in advocacy, negotiations and advisory roles.
  • Work closely with client departments to secure positive outcomes for adults in Leicester.

Qualifications / What You Will Need

  • Post‑qualification experience with adult social care cases, mental health, community care, and judicial reviews.
  • Demonstrable advocacy, negotiation and advisory skills.
  • Strong risk‑management awareness.
  • Highly motivated with excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, able to represent the service professionally and client‑focused.
