As an Educational Psychologist or Senior Educational Psychologist for Leicester City Council, you will be part of a multiâdisciplinary, diverse team that is friendly, supportive, and wellâregarded, working in a unique and vibrant multiâcultural city.
We have EPs working in a range of areas including with the virtual school, international new arrivals, antiâbullying (Positive Peaceful Places) and with our designated specialist provisions in mainstream settings.
What you will be involved with:
- Working with our local MHST team on an NHS funded project to strengthen the mental health support in our city schools.
- Integral role in the LA EBSA strategy and working closely with our Childrenâs Hospital School.
- Exploring different ways of working through the EHC assessment process, including collaboration with our specialist teachers.
- Protected time for development work which involves training, consultation and local area strategy work with a range of partners.
- Expanding ELSA training and supervision offer, encouraging all staff to develop areas of professional interest.
- Working with all of our City schools through a link EP arrangement to develop creative delivery of psychology and promote new ways of working.
- Opportunities for EPs and TEPs to work together on activities such as PATH and Circle of Adults.
- Progressing work on culturally responsive and antiâracist practice.
- Developing and focusing our training offer to be more responsive to the changes and challenges that schools are experiencing.
- Providing workshops for parents and staff on topics including EBSA, neuroâaffirming practice, precision teaching and staff wellbeing.
The roles:
- Full time and part time positions available on a permanent basis.
