Responsibilities- Plan and deliver both face‑to‑face and online English Functional Skills courses to adult learners, using engaging resources and teaching methods that encourage active learning.
- Maximise attendance, retention and achievement; monitor learning to ensure outcomes and success rates are achieved.
- Confidently use technology such as Google Classroom, Google Meet and other applications.
- Attend regular meetings, CPD sessions, enrolment sessions and assist in exams.
- Travel to settings and schools across the city and teach online as part of a blended learning approach; be available outside normal office hours, including evenings.
- Provide a successful Enhanced DBS check.
- Subject‑specific qualification at an appropriate level.
- Teaching qualification at Level 3 or above.
- Teaching qualification at Level 5 or willingness to work towards it.
- Minimum GCSE A to C or equivalent English qualification.
