The Product Sales Specialist is responsible for sample preparation growth and expansion of direct sales and profit margin focus in Italy within the West team. This position reports to the Sales Manager Italy and is part of the West Sales located in Italy and will be a remote and travelling role.
Responsibilities
- Using an agreed European Sales Methodology and in close cooperation with the sales Agents team carry out the agreed Sales Plans & activities in the Italian territory in order to achieve Sales and Profitability targets.
- Prepare accurate weekly and monthly pipeline data in SFDC for Sales Forecasts for confocal and widefield product lines.
- Plan and carry out regular visits in cooperation with local sales Agents to existing customers to continually monitor requirements and satisfaction levels, business trends and competitor activity.
- Keep close contact to appropriate levels of Key Accounts, investigate their business needs and serve as main contact for them.
- Plan and organize workshops at customer site; represent the company at trade meetings to promote products.
Essential Requirements
- Strong Sales experience (minimum 4 years) in the Life Science Market.
- Strong communications - sound business acumen.
- Degree preferably in a Life Sciences, or equivalent experience.
- Proven record of successful selling of high-tech instruments.
- Fluency in Italian and English.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Preferred/Additional Experience
- Ability to drive business success through demonstrating consistent and impressive sales growth over a period of time.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to build sound relation with Key Account Customers.
- Knowledge of purchase procedure according to Italian regulation.
