UK Finance Controller to take a leading finance role across our UK business.
This is not a traditional accounting-focused Controller position.
While strong financial foundations are essential, the real focus of the role is on business partnering, commercial insight and helping our leaders make better decisions.
You will become a key finance partner to the UK management team, working closely with senior leaders across Sales, Marketing and Operations while leading the local finance organisation.

- Act as a trusted Finance Business Partner to the UK leadership team, providing insight, challenge and recommendations that improve business performance.
- Translate financial data into clear commercial actions and help leaders understand the financial impact of their decisions.
- Challenge revenue, margin, cost and investment assumptions and identify risks and opportunities.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis and management reporting across the UK business.
- Oversee month-end, financial controls, statutory requirements and financial governance, supported by the local team and our Shared Service organisation.
- Lead and develop the local Finance team
- Work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Operations and other teams across the UK and our international organisation.
- Drive improvements in reporting, processes and ways of working as the UK Finance organisation continues to evolve.
- This is you
- You are a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with strong commercial instincts and the confidence to work closely with senior business leaders.
You will ideally bring
- Around 5-7 years of relevant Finance experience, ideally within Commercial Finance, Finance Business Partnering, Controlling or Finance Management.
- A strong commercial mindset - you look beyond the numbers and want to understand what drives the business.
- Experience working cross-functionally with senior non-finance stakeholders.
- Previous people management experience and the ability to coach and develop others.
- Experience within a multinational or complex organisation.
- Solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, P&L, balance sheet and financial controls.
- Familiarity with ERP and enterprise finance systems such as SAP.
- The confidence to challenge constructively while remaining pragmatic and collaborative.
- A proactive, hands-on approach and the ability to create structure where it does not yet exist.
- Willingness to work on a hybrid basis, with regular presence in St Neots and occasional travel to Milton Keynes.
