ABOUT THE ROLE
- Responsibility to generate, grow, and secure successful sales of Leica’s Mobile Mapping portfolio in line with individual and regional targets.
- Focus on growing the existing business and finding new business with new and existing customers across the survey, building construction, and heavy construction industries.
- Working directly with the Cluster Manager North West Europe to deliver an accurate sales forecast along with detailed action/activity reports.
- This role will manage identified accounts that are geographically assigned, ensuring they are correctly managed, supported, and grown.
- It is expected that the sales specialist has a strong understanding of our reality capture products including our mobile mapping solutions.
- To identify new markets within these industries and create opportunities for more business for LGS products.
- To identify competition accounts in this industry and nurture them to try and convert them over to Leica technology.
- The role will actively promote new technology adoption within the core industries which are Surveying, Construction, and Heavy Construction.
- Significant level of sales pipeline management is required to ensure that all sales leads are followed through to conclusion.
- Collaborate with all key internal stakeholders to ensure clarity on the direction of business and provide necessary support to achieve overall business goals and targets.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive the adoption of Mobile Mapping technology across defined application verticals and segments, resolving product-related issues to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Conduct customer demonstrations as needed for our mobile mapping hardware and software.
- Support Leica Pegasus team for hardware and software support requests and training.
- Achieve individual sales targets and gross margins (via ANSP) targets and team targets.
- Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting customers' objectives.
- Generate product development ideas via discussion with the product sales specialists.
- Provide reliable and accurate feedback to senior management on general market conditions.
- Keep up to date with products and competitors' activity and general market conditions.
- Compile and deliver comprehensive reports in and around your business area within agreed timescales.
- Maintain internal communication at all times and understand roles within the wider context of the organisation.
- Provide valuable input to strategies, product roadmaps, and business plans, contributing to the overall growth and profitability of Mobile Mapping within the region.
- Conduct training sessions for dealers and representatives within the region.
- Attend industry and company-specific conferences and events.
- Disciplined use of CRM and other administrative requirements.
- Accurately minute all meetings and follow actions in a timely manner.
- Complete all internal online training courses in a timely manner.
- Adhere to all statutory regulations and LGS company policies at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
- Higher education qualifications.
- Proven industry experience in selling products & services to end users.
- Knowledge of a wide range of reality capture equipment and requirements of the users of such equipment.
- A minimum of 8 years of industry experience is necessary, with a strong background in Mobile Mapping.
- Experience in developing new channels within the industry is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Photogrammetry, GIS, and laser scanning is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface at all levels and functions.
- Entrepreneurial drive and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work across the regional area at least 4 days per week, often staying away from home.
- Strong sense of urgency, responsibility, and accountability.
- Willingness to travel for business.
- Adheres to Hexagon values.
LANGUAGE
- English fluent written and verbal.
- Ability to write reports, business plans, business correspondence, and forecasting.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
TRAVEL
- Travel in the UK, Ireland primarily with occasional international travel to Netherlands, Belgium & Luxembourg will be required for this role.
COMPUTER SKILLS
- Fluent working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Working knowledge of CRM software solutions (e.g. Salesforce.com).
