Overview
Transport and Logistics Specialist is responsible for coordinating and monitoring supporting IMEX activities across multiple shipping points within the European region. The role is based at Newcastle, UK. Primary objective is to ensure clearance of all goods both importing and exporting and timely delivery to end customer.
Reports to the Senior Manager Global Supply Chain and is part of the Global Supply Chain team located in Newcastle, UK and will be an on-site role.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor IMEX activities across multiple shipping points in Europe.
- Ensure customs clearance for imports and exports; timely delivery to customers.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external freight partners to optimize shipping processes.
Essential requirements
- Minimum two years’ experience in importation and exportation within UK and EU.
- Proven background working with external freight partners, including KPI management and countermeasures.
- Two years minimum experience with customs house brokerage firms for clearance documentation.
Travel, motor vehicle record & physical/environment requirements: Travel expectations for this role are Low.
