As an Import Assistant, you will be responsible for processing, monitoring and record‑keeping of inbound shipments in accordance with all relevant policies and procedures. The role reports to the Senior Distribution Manager and is part of the Global Supply Chain team located in Newcastle, UK. This will be a fully on‑site based role.
Responsibilities:- Conduct Import Clearance by liaising with external Custom House Brokers – clear all goods into UK from global suppliers.
- Import Performance Monitoring – analyze KPIs for key critical Custom House Brokers to ensure timely clearance and manage the flow of goods imports.
- Bachelor or Technical Degree in Logistics/Supply Chain or a related field.
- Multiple years of experience in the field of importation and customs.
- Knowledge and skillset related to Customs House Brokerage.
- Ability to travel – 5‑15% travel may be required (overnight, within territory or locations).
