The Bio Processing Associate is a laboratory‑based role that supports manufacturing operations with scientific expertise to ensure high‑quality production of commercialized products and successful transfer of new products from development to manufacturing.
You will be part of the Manufacturing Science team located in Leica Biosystems Newcastle; this is an on‑site role reporting to the Manufacturing Science Supervisor, responsible for safety, quality, and productivity of all operational associates within Manufacturing Science.
In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To
- Manufacture high‑quality diagnostic antibodies using Hybridoma Tissue Culture Techniques
- Build upon skills relating to cell line control and antibody manufacture
- Work in a team, responsible for the timely delivery of defect‑free product
- Actively use DBS tools such as PSP & Daily Management
The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include
- A relevant scientific qualification (BSc/MSc) in a related subject
- Experience in a FMCG environment or other tissue‑culture based environment
- Able to apply problem‑solving logic and solve basic problems
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in
- ELISA testing
- Knowledge of immunohistochemical (IHC) techniques
Travel expectations for this role are low. Motor vehicle record and physical/environment requirements apply if applicable.
