The Cerebro Applications Specialist for Leica Biosystems is responsible for working with customers to implement, train and deliver a specimen tracking system that supports their pathology lab workflow. You will participate as a project manager, trainer, technical lead, advising customers by understanding the customer’s needs, conducting workflow analysis of the lab and implementing a Cerebro system in a pathology lab setting. This position is part of the Enterprise Solutions Cerebro Applications team located in the UKI and will be a fully remote position.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Provide pre-sales technical support for Account Managers during sales negotiations
- Define scope of work for projects and work with customer’s project manager and coordinate work with customer and IT vendors
- Interact with IT personnel to verify setup of network, operating systems, database, server configurations and interfaces
- Perform system installations at customer sites
- Train customer's staff on use of CEREBRO system
The essential requirements of the job include:
- BA/BS in Medical Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
- Background in medical Laboratory Information Systems (LIS), workflow management and deployment
- Proven experience in an anatomic pathology lab or medical lab environment
- Ability to define and execute project plans in collaboration with internal and external resources
- Ability to learn to install and upgrade clients/servers in addition to installing additional peripherals such as network interfaces, firewalls, barcode readers, printers etc.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
- Ability to travel overnight within the UKI, up to 80% of the time.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 50lb, any other physical requirements
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Technology (IT) server and network experience in Healthcare environment a plus
