Job summary and team context: The MSK physiotherapy team is offering opportunities for 2 full time permanent physiotherapists to join the team. The service operates across Hywel Dda University Health Board; vacancies are based in Pembrokeshire. The MSK service provides hydrotherapy, gym-based exercise classes and the Escape programme for osteoarthritis of the hip and knee, and works with the national exercise referral scheme and 3rd sector activity providers to extend post-rehabilitation support.
Main duties / Responsibilities
- Responsible for delivering patient rehabilitation services within Hywel Dda University Health Board in your defined clinical area, collaborating with MDT colleagues to provide holistic care.
- Manage your own caseload, accepting self-referrals and referrals from GPs, AHPs, Social Services practitioners and Consultants, operating with autonomy and applying evidence-based practice to plan, implement and evaluate care.
- Participate in continuing professional development, including education/supervision of junior staff and students.
- Support service modernization and development, including involvement in audits and service evaluation.
- Contribute to a flexible 7-day service on a rota basis and participate in the on-call respiratory service where required.
