We are looking for two motivated Health Care Support Worker to join an expanding and dynamic multidisciplinary mental health team within the Specialist Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (S-CAMHS), Hywel Dda University Health Board. This is an exciting job opportunity to be part of the Primary Mental Health Team (CAMHS).

Job Summary

We are looking for two motivated Health Care Support Worker to join an expanding and dynamic multidisciplinary mental health team within the Specialist Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (S-CAMHS), Hywel Dda University Health Board. This is an exciting job opportunity to be part of the Primary Mental Health Team (CAMHS).

One post is available in the Carmarthen area and one is available in the Pembrokeshire area.

The role requires a passion for promoting mental health and emotional wellbeing that will offer support to children, young people, and their families. The post holder will deliver therapeutic intervention for children and young people that is tailored to individual need. They will be expected to work as part of a team to ensure excellent delivery of service provision. There will also be opportunities to deliver training to external colleagues and schools to promote mental health and emotional wellbeing.

Main duties of the job

The role will require direct work with children, young people and families in our clinics and community settings and the successful individual will carry a caseload of young people and offer intervention within a specified timeframe.

The post holder will provide health care duties under the supervision of the qualified practitioner and implement nursing care in line with the assessed need of the young person or adolescent within a community or hospital setting and ensuredocumentation is clearly recorded in a timely manner.

Will be responsible to report any safeguarding concerns immediately in line with the All Wales Safeguarding Procedures policy.The post holder will support SCAMHS in developing a high-quality service bycontributing to Service reviews, Investors in Carers Award, Health & Safety and working collaboratively with Third Sector Organisations.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
