Workforce Manager Systems and Workforce Intelligence
Job Summary: Fixed Term / Secondment until 31/05/2026 due to funding. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with advanced technical skills and senior-level experience to shape strategic workforce information services in a busy healthcare setting, supporting improvement and decision‑making for staff and patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Support delivery of the strategic plan for full implementation and ongoing transformation of workforce solutions, including system integration.
- Lead comprehensive workforce and information analysis functions to provide mandatory, ad‑hoc and innovative solutions to NHS workforce analysis needs.
- Use data extraction and manipulation techniques to analyse complex datasets, develop scorecards, dashboards and models.
- Build collaborative relationships with stakeholders to develop and support a strategic approach to workforce information at operational and board level.
- Manage large datasets, maintain systems and oversee migrations / maintenance.
- Supervise staff and manage workload priorities under pressure.
- Travel between sites and wider Wales/UK as required.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Master’s degree level or equivalent.
- Knowledge of HR and Payroll function; awareness of Finance procedures.
- Good understanding of legislation relating to data protection and confidential information.
- Proven experience with workforce systems, data manipulation, Power BI, and reporting.
- Experience working under pressure to meet deadlines and engaging with senior stakeholders.
- Experience in analysing and reporting large datasets, system migration and maintenance.
- Management or relevant qualification; experience supervising staff.
- Contribution to a staffing or workforce analytics role in a NHS context preferred.
- Welsh language: level 1 desirable; English sufficient.
Desirable
- Relevant postgraduate professional qualification or CIPD.
- Experience with ESR and/or other workforce information systems.
- Experience developing and managing HR policy and practice.
- Experience using Power BI for intelligence presentation.
