This is a Fixed Term / Secondment until 16.02.2027. This is an opportunity for a qualified counsellor to join our team. You will work in a supportive team environment with flexible working, supporting adults by providing specialist bereavement counselling from Glangwili General Hospital site in Carmarthenshire.
Main duties of the job:
- Provide bereavement counselling to service users within Carmarthenshire.
- Conduct assessments and deliver counselling support using a mixed model approach (face to face, telephone, online).
- Work autonomously as part of a team alongside other healthcare professionals.
- Travel to other sites within the county, such as Ty Bryngwyn, as required.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable; English and/or Welsh speakers are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities:
The successful applicant will become an integral member of the team. We provide flexible work arrangements and expect flexibility in meeting service needs. Essential – qualifications and knowledge:
- Registered with BACP
- Relevant Diploma in Counselling or equivalent
- Evidence of relevant Grief practice
Desirable – qualifications:
- Related Counselling qualifications
- Working towards accreditation
Essential – experience:
- Working in adult Grief/Bereavement Counselling
- Receiving Clinical Supervision
- In depth knowledge of bereavement care and experience of its delivery
Desirable – experience:
- Evidence of broad spectrum of relevant Counselling experience
- Experience of pre-bereavement care and its delivery
Language Skills – desirable:
- Welsh speaker (Level 1)
