Social network you want to login/join with: Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Plant Controller to join the Data Center Power & Control Division Starline Team in Reading, UK. What Will You Do? Oversees the cost control system and prepares costing accounting variance reports for management. Oversee and implement local standard cost rolls. Assist in inventory control and developing inventory management procedures such as cycle counting and compliance controls. Conduct, implement, and audit Fixed Asset Procedures and controls. Work with the other members of the Starline finance team to complete the monthly accounting close and monthly financial/operational analysis. Identify and correct control weaknesses, ensuring proper controls are in place in all areas of the plant operation. Help drive cost reductions through labor and material productivity initiatives. Identify cost reduction opportunities and partner with operations on achieving results. Provide financial support and analysis to the business on manufacturing issues, such process improvements and outsourced production. Initiate and assist with the creation, development, and implementation of processes and procedures. Assist global shared service team efforts related accounts receivable and accounts payable as needed (. calling customers/vendors, obtaining remittances, working with sales team to resolve issues). Provide local support for external and internal audits. Assist with local capital expenditure analysis. Consistently support compliance by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting the assets of the organization, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non-compliance, adhering to all applicable international/local laws and regulations, as well as the Company’s policies and procedures. Understand workplace hazards and take steps to proactively prevent and report hazards or injuries in the workplace. Cooperate in safety programs, initiatives, and investigations. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting. Experience: Minimum 7-10 years professional experience with at least 5 years in Operational Finance and/or Cost Accounting in a manufacturing environment (., plant controller, cost accountant). Previous US GAAP, IFRS reporting experience. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Excellent interpersonal, oral presentation and written communication skills; professional presence and behavior Ability to operate/work in a high growth & entrepreneurial environment. Proficient in the use of personal computers, internet and MS Office suite of software including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams. Ability to prepare, analyze and interpret financial and operations analyses/reports. Ability to assess and communicate the implications, options and resulting initiatives of complex business situations to financial and non-financial managers. Drive enhanced business performance with a continuous improvement mindset. Strong technical competence in manufacturing financial control and costing. Understanding of and proficiency in US GAAP, international accounting standards and internal control. Ability to multi-task and demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and to appropriately prioritize workload based upon organization or department needs. Ability to work with minimal supervision, exercising judgment within generally defined policies. Must possess high degree of professionalism and ability to handle highly sensitive, confidential information. Must have detail orientation, excellent follow-through, and project management skills. Willingness to travel to visit various manufacturing locations (up to 10%). Working Conditions/Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required (for most of the working day) to sit and make coordinated movements of the fingers for using a keyboard.
