Shift opportunities include:
Full Time (5 days out of 7) Breakfast Shifts (6am until 2pm) Evening Shifts (2pm until 10pm) Due to the nature of the operation, weekend availability is essential
A day in the life of a Commis Chef would include…
Responsibilities
- Preparing and cooking food for our hotel guests
- Developing and maintaining a full knowledge of menu items and dishes served
- Work collaboratively with the other chefs regarding to maintain food levels, quality and brand standards
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene, health, and safety
- Working with the other chefs to ensure all shift opening and closing checklists are completed
- Learning procedures and standards for all kitchen tasks and undertaking relevant training as required
Skills and attributes
- Excellent awareness of food hygiene standards
- Driven to learn and develop as a chef
- Basic kitchen experience and culinary skills
- Strong communication skills
- A team-player mindset
- High energy and a positive can-do attitude
