Retail and Admissions Host - INCLUDES FULL TIME/PART TIME – Working up to 5 out of 7 days a week, covering hours from 07:30 and 20:00.

Location: LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort, Windsor, SL4 4AY.

A job with Merlin isn’t like a job anywhere else. We are looking for passionate candidates to join our AWESOME Commercial team at LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort. As a Commercial Host, you will work in a variety of roles across our Commercial Zone, working in our retail units, admissions and car parking team, Adventure Golf, as well as supporting in our Lego Free Build Areas.

KEY OBJECTIVES
  • Ensuring and maintaining high standards across the park through tidying and cleaning, both in our staff areas and guest facing areas.
  • To operate tills while practicing profit protection policies.
  • Ensuring safety is the number one priority through adhering to company Health & Safety policies.
  • Identify customers’ needs and points of enquiry or feedback, clarify information and provide solutions.
  • Provide effective and efficient answers to guest contact.
  • Gain an excellent knowledge of products and attractions to be best equipped to help with queries and feedback.
  • Adhere to daily plan regarding which area you are supporting at each interval during the day.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensuring and maintaining high standards across the park and Car Park through tidying and cleaning, both in our staff areas and guest-facing areas.
  • Greeting all our guests in a friendly and engaging manner.
  • Processing guests purchases through the tills and monitoring product pricing throughout the park stores.
  • Upselling products and services to guests based on their choices and interests.
  • Breaking down of deliveries to neatly organise into the stockrooms or put out onto the store, ready for park opening.
  • Cleaning and maintaining our Freestyle Machines.
  • Provide information, support and appropriate resolutions for our customers.
  • Ensuring health and safety policies are adhered to.
  • Noting both positive and negative feedback on the day and providing Guests with compensation while staying within the agreed Recovery and Profit Protection standards.
  • Arranging any extra needs for Guests (e.g. wheelchairs, ear defenders, Radar Key).
  • Holding Guest Luggage and ensuring it is returned safely and in good condition.
  • Assisting guests with Lost Property Enquiries as well as uploading and storing Lost Property.
  • Being an advocate for Safeguarding and First Aid by communicating with other departments and the Safeguarding Officer regarding any Safeguarding concerns which may arise within Guest Services.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be able to speak and read fluently in English.
  • Experience of working within a fast-paced environment (desired but not necessary).
  • Experience of working in a team (desired but not necessary).
  • Experience in previous customer facing roles (desired but not necessary).
  • Ability to deal with customer complaints, with a confident and calm approach.
  • Although not necessary, an FAW or EFAW qualification.
  • Be able to handle confrontational situations.
  • You will need to be confident with cash handling.
