We are recruiting for a Junior Finance Business Partner – UK Performance to join our team. This role plays a pivotal part in driving business performance, using insightful financial analysis and close collaboration with key stakeholders across the organisation. Acting as a trusted partner to operational and commercial teams, the Junior Finance Business Partner will help translate data into meaningful insight that supports smarter decision‑making and delivers real impact.
The Junior Finance Business Partner will be involved in the preparation of financial reports, budgets and forecasts, while also supporting longer‑term strategic planning and performance reviews. Working across commercial, hotels and functions areas, you will help identify opportunities to optimise performance, improve efficiency and enhance profitability. From analysing trends and uncovering risks to supporting initiatives that unlock growth, the Junior Finance Business Partner’s work will directly influence how the business moves forward.

Key Responsibilities- Strategic Financial Support: Support the execution of a finance strategy that aligns with Merlin’s wider goals, driving value, improving forecasting, and enabling better decision‑making.
- Analysis & Planning: Deliver budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis to support strategic plans.
- Business Partnering: Assist in providing financial advice and insights to non‑finance teams to drive decision‑making.
- Insight & Reporting: Provide high‑quality reporting and analysis on key performance drivers, identifying opportunities and supporting decision‑makers with actionable insights.
- Operational Efficiency: Champion best practice and identify opportunities for cost optimisation, automation, and improved financial processes.
- Collaboration & Influence: Partner with regional teams to ensure financial consistency and support the rollout of strategic initiatives across the UK.
- Process Improvement: Support process improvements to enhance financial efficiency and reporting accuracy.
- Part qualified accountant in ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent preferred
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Understanding of financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting processes.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with non‑financial stakeholders.
- A proactive, commercially minded approach with a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast paced environment.
- Strong analytical and Excel modelling skills, with experience using systems like SAP, Oracle, or Hyperion desirable.
