What you’ll bring to the team
We’re looking for a Financial Assistant - R2R Cash Accounting to join our Global Record to Report (R2R) team within Corporate Finance. This is a great opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys working in a fast‑paced environment and wants to build strong stakeholder relationships while developing their technical accounting skills. You’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate cash accounting, balance sheet integrity, and timely month‑end reporting across multiple international legal entities.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare weekly and monthly journals, working closely with key business partners
- Deliver accurate and timely month‑end reporting in line with the Finance Hub timetable
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations and support reviews with Finance Hub Managers
- Process cash accounting activities across international legal entities
- Reconcile cash applications and disbursements, ensuring timely resolution of outstanding items
- Monitor and clear banking reconciling items, taking ownership of queries through to resolution
- Maintain strong financial controls in line with group policies and procedures
- Support daily, weekly, and monthly reporting in line with the centralised reporting strategy
- Liaise with internal and external audit teams
- Develop, document, and maintain standard operating procedures
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications & Experience
What we’re looking for
Essential
- Degree qualified or 2+ years’ experience in a finance role
- Bank reconciliation experience (essential)
- Experience with month‑end close processes and posting journals
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive, analytical mindset
Desirable
- Experience working in a shared service or global finance environment
- Exposure to process improvement and standardisation initiatives
- Confident communicator able to work across multiple teams and functions
- Comfortable working in a flexible and changing environment
