Core Responsibilities:

  • The primary responsibility of this role is to act as an expert on Scope 3 supplier data within procurement, supporting our goal to reduce carbon emissions and enabling us to achieve our corporate-wide sustainability ambitions.
  • Gather, analyse, and interpret relevant sustainability data, including Scope 3 emissions, to generate actionable insights that advise and support strategic business decisions.
  • Work closely together with suppliers, procurement, and business teams to identify, quantify and assess emissions reduction opportunities within our supply base.
  • Develop and implement effective data analytics strategies and methodologies; design approaches to model abatement opportunities, develop de-carbonisation roadmaps, and identify gaps to target.
  • Collaborate with teams to identify key performance indicators and establish benchmarks for sustainability metrics.
  • Provide technical leadership on Scope 3 data, working with suppliers to increase their carbon accounting competency and improve the quality and breadth of information provided.
  • Monitor sustainability performance and visualise areas for improvement.
  • Provide training support to procurement colleagues on the use of reports, dashboards, systems and tools related to supplier sustainability data.

Do you have what it takes?

The ideal candidate comes with a strong expertise in carbon accounting methodologies and guidelines aligned with the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard, including extensive knowledge of Scope 3 emissions, supply chain dynamics, and Life Cycle Assessments (LCA). Moreover, they come with:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, environmental science, sustainability, or another related field is required.
  • Proven expertise in translating complex sustainability and carbon accounting principles into actionable insights that drive business decisions and strategies.
  • Ability to communicate key data needs, concepts, tactics, outcomes, and standards related to LCAs and corporate GHGs Inventories.
  • Experience using LCA software and methodologies (e.g., SimaPro) is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with proven experience collaborating effectively across function and levels.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to finding opportunities for improvement.
  • Proficient in English, written and verbal.

The position is based in either Billund, DK or London, UK and relocation support is not offered for this role.
