Core Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Senior Commercial Planning Manager and reporting within the Regional Commercial Development (RCD) team, the Commercial Planning Manager will:
  • Drive the capture, evaluation, and analysis of key commercial critical metrics throughout the year in support of the APAC objectives and key focus areas;
  • Work closely with BU teams to embed available commercial tools for commercial planning, listing, and trade investments to collect, measure, and evaluate channel and customer plans that feed into relevant regional forums;
  • Ensure alignment of the in-year sales planning inputs at MG and BU levels to the approved Integrated Commercial Planning (ICP) and Joint Business Plannings (JBPs) for critical customer and channel groups;
  • Drive analysis for identified focus areas and issues identified in-year;
  • Lead the Customer feedback process by coordinating directly with the global and BU teams to ensure timely input, completion, review, and action planning;
  • Support the Confidentiality agenda for the APAC Market Group by leading leak tracking and coordination with stakeholders on leak management action plans;
  • Support the development of the ICP across the year through logistics and deployment support, and tracking and measuring critical metrics;
  • Support the consolidation of Joint Business Plans for top BU Customers to align sales assumptions into forecasting within commercial planning tools;
  • Support operational cycle planning and logistics to manage team operations for RCD.

The APAC Regional Commercial Development (RCD) function is responsible for translating the Global Market and Commercial Development (GCD) agenda into regional priorities, in addition to identifying specific APAC plans and initiatives aligned to the global commercial strategy. This includes partnering with the BUs to build and implement the commercial plans locally. The Commercial Planning Manager joins to support the Commercial Planning function within RCD, which drives the LEGO Group’s ICP process in the APAC Market Group (MG), and is mandated to build fundamental capabilities and workflow integration for planning and evaluation in the region.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Minimum 5 years experience in Commercial Planning or similar roles in FMCG / Consumer Goods / General Merchandise or related industries;
  • Strong critical thinking and strategic capabilities, able to flexibly spar with stakeholders across details and overarching objectives;
  • Strong analytical skills and/or data processing experience, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with particular focus on MS Excel (to support data analysis) and MS PowerPoint (to support presentation development);
  • Experience deploying and/or managing commercial tools (Trade Promo management, Commercial Target setting, and Product listing systems);
  • Previous Key Account Sales/Trade Marketing experience/ sales forecasting experience will have an added advantage;
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence peers and senior leaders;
  • Strong initiative and drive, able to work independently and make recommendations to optimize workstreams.
