Core Responsibilities
- Lead, develop and motivate a high-performing Marketing Team in BU SMTR (Singapore, Malaysia, and Travel Retail) to new levels of energy, competencies and achievements.
- Accelerate brand growth and recruitment in kids, families and adults in Malaysia; Revitalize the Singapore market across audiences; increase brand relevance in the TR landscape.
- Drive creativity and innovation to elevate brand positioning and increase talkability in all our markets and channels.
- Deliver strong brand and product demand to support achieving/exceeding the consumer sales target in SMTR, through best-in-class consumer marketing, partnerships and innovation.
- Demonstrate strong leadership, strategic orientation and collaboration across functions within the BU, regional & global level, as a key member of BU Leadership Team to develop and implement flawless end-to-end business planning and executions.
- Lead and succeed in marketing planning, execution and mutual value creation with customers and external partners.
- Lead Trade Marketing team in applying shopper/customer/sales team insights to drive impactful retail execution and promos and drive stronger overall trade effectiveness.
- Practice commercial finance stewardship and own the whole marketing budget process from planning to monitoring, including driving a solid marketing investment strategy in alignment to overall brand objectives.
- Translate global insights and campaigns into locally relevant campaigns, to increase resonance in the local markets.
- Be a role model of how regional and global collaboration can help to bring BU SMTR to the next level – and also share best practices from SMTR to scale our campaigns effectively across the world.

As a Marketing Director, you play a key role in shaping our future as our brand reaches the next generation of builders. From strategy to execution, your team will deliver best-in-class owned, earned, shared and paid marketing to strengthen the LEGO brand love and build top-of-mind among kids, families and adults in Singapore, Malaysia, and Travel Retail APAC to grow our consumer base relentlessly.
Using your innovative and collaborative nature, you will create partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders, including our regional and global marketing teams, our sales and operations teams, retailers and partner brands. In our learning environment, you will have the opportunity to develop your teams' competencies and culture and the opportunity to develop yourself through various trainings and build skills that will advance you in your role and our organization.
From an organizational perspective, this role will lead a team of 10 located across Singapore and Malaysia in Trade, Digital, PR and Brand functions and be part of the BU Leadership Team. This role will report to the General Manager, BU SMTR and be based in Singapore office.
Do you have what it takes:
- Proven track record of success in driving business performance, building high-performing teams, and elevating brand positioning with local APAC market experience & knowledge.
- A strong passion and experience working in matrix organizations across functions, including sales, marketing, operations, regional functions, global functions and leadership teams.
- Ability to inspire change and put the consumer/shopper voice at the heart of decision making and developing GTM strategies underpinned by sound market insights.
- Ability to practise and embrace agility to adapt to a competitive retail landscape, plus a willingness to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Strong experience in consumer marketing, public relations and amplifying brands through partnerships and external opportunities.
- Ability to travel internationally for work purposes.
