Job Description

Core Responsibilities

Set and execute the strategic direction for the Skill Family with a focus on building future-fit capabilities in Operations and Sustainability, aligned to enterprise-wide L&D strategy.

Act as a strategic Learning Partner to the Operations ELT area, engaging senior operational leaders to understand business needs and co-create impactful learning solutions.

Lead annual planning and prioritization of L&D initiatives across the Skill Family, ensuring alignment with operational transformation agendas and global business priorities.

Own and evolve the Skill Family’s taxonomy and curriculum, with a sharp focus on driving business impact in operational contexts (e.g., manufacturing, supply chain, engineering).

Partner with LEGO U Programme team and other L&D teams to deliver learning solutions through agile planning cycles, with accountability for quality, relevance, and effectiveness.

Shape and deliver engagement and communication strategies for the ELT area, ensuring visibility of learning impact and driving a strong learning culture across Operations.

Provide thought leadership in skills-based learning and help embed a skills-first mindset in key operational areas.

Build trusted relationships with senior operational stakeholders and cross-functional partners to ensure high relevance and uptake of learning interventions.

The Skills & Learning team is driving the LEGO Group’s transformation into a future-ready, skills-based organization. We partner with business leaders to identify the most critical capabilities and ensure all colleagues have access to the skills they need to grow, adapt, and succeed.
As Head of Skill Family Build & Sustainability, you will play a central role in enabling the skills agenda across our global Operations teams — from manufacturing and supply chain to engineering and sustainability. You’ll shape how we build and scale learning interventions that drive performance, support transformation, and bring our sustainability ambitions to life.
Do you have what it takes?

Global L&D experience, including strategy, design, delivery, and evaluation of learning solutions

Strong strategic thinking and business acumen, with the ability to align learning strategy to enterprise goals

Deep understanding of skills-based organizations and experience developing skills taxonomies

Proven ability to influence and consult senior leaders (L2/L3), acting as a trusted advisor

Experience working in or closely with Operations (e.g., manufacturing, supply chain, logistics), with strong contextual understanding of operational environments

Familiarity with agile ways of working and iterative planning
-
Data-driven decision-maker with strong analytical capabilities

Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills

Prior experience in a large global organization with matrixed stakeholder groups desirable

Experience working in sustainability or operations-related learning domains preferred

Strong change leadership and resilience in dynamic environments

Background in partnering with external learning vendors and platforms desirable
