Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily animal husbandry and the care of resident wildlife, including seal pups and marine mammals.
  • Contribute to the rescue, rehabilitation, and release efforts for grey seal pups in distress.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of animal enclosures, plant systems and life support equipment.
  • Educate the public on the importance of wildlife conservation and the animals in our care.
  • Support the team with husbandry training, enrichment, and the development of animal welfare protocols.

What you’ll gain:

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Studying towards or holding an animal-related qualification.
  • Confident with animal husbandry, feeding, cleaning and welfare checks.
  • Strong team player with a proactive attitude.
  • Good communicator, comfortable engaging with the public.
  • Basic understanding of life support systems or willing to learn.
  • Flexible with hours and happy to work outdoors in all weathers.
  • Passionate about conservation and sustainability.
  • Must live within 20 minutes of the centre.
