We are looking for a Technical Producer to join LEGO Digital Play in a founding, hands-on role. This position sits at the intersection of production and engineering, supporting teams building AI systems, machine learning capabilities, and creative tools for LEGO video games. The work is prototype-driven and systems-focused. This role will help define and establish production practices within an AI and research-oriented environment, implementing lightweight and effective processes that enable experimentation while supporting long-term scalability. This will be the first production hire in the team. The role will focus on supporting research and prototyping, owning delivery and coordination. Over time, as systems and tools mature, the Technical Producer will increasingly contribute to long-term planning for these systems and internal production capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner closely with ML engineers, system engineers, and technical leadership to plan and track delivery of AI systems, creative tools, data, and asset pipelines.
- Establish and evolve production processes suited to research-heavy, prototype-driven development.
- Translate technical goals and architectural constraints into clear roadmaps, milestones, and actionable plans.
- Identify technical dependencies and risks early and coordinate across teams to resolve issues.
- Support estimation, planning, and prioritisation in collaboration with technical leadership.
- Maintain visibility on technical debt, tooling investments, and long-term infrastructure needs.
- Coordinate transitions of systems and tools from experimental into stable, production-ready capabilities.
- Act as a communication bridge between technical teams and broader stakeholders within LEGO Digital Play.
Required Experience & Skills
- Experience in a Producer, Technical Producer, or similar delivery-focused role within games, AI software, or creative software.
- Experience working closely with engineering teams on systems, platforms, or backend-heavy initiatives.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and production methodologies.
- Ability to engage credibly in discussions around technical risk and feasibility.
- Clear and structured communicator, able to translate between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and early-stage product environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical literacy sufficient to understand system architecture, ML and data-related workflows, and their constraints and trade-offs.
- Hands-on implementation experience is not required.
- Experience supporting AI/ML, simulation, engine, or editor/tool development.
- Experience transitioning prototypes into scalable, production-ready systems.
- Experience working in startup-like or newly formed teams.
