Hi, we’re Legl. Legl is building the operating system for modern legal services. We help law firms and regulated businesses replace manual, fragmented workflows with intelligent software from client onboarding and compliance to payments, risk, and reporting. Legal services are full of high-stakes decisions, heavy regulation, and deeply human relationships. Unfortunately, the way firms discover, evaluate, and engage with technology in this space is often slow, noisy, and disconnected. We believe it doesn’t have to be that way and that thoughtful, customer-led marketing and events can play a meaningful role.
We’re looking for an Events Marketing Manager (18M FTC) who is obsessed with execution, focused on commercial impact, and motivated by turning great events into real customer relationships and pipeline.
How We Work
We are builders. At Legl, the lines between teams and disciplines are intentionally blurred. Your job isn’t to deliver busy calendars or well-branded moments; it’s to create events that meaningfully support customers, strengthen relationships, and drive commercial results. We work best when:
- Ownership is individual, collaboration is intentional
- Decisions are grounded in customer context and commercial goals
- Communication is clear, early, and consistent
- Momentum matters more than process for process’ sake
You’ll work closely with Sales and other stakeholders, but you’ll also be expected to independently drive work forward from idea, to execution, to post-event follow-through and measurable impact.
Events Are Not a Side Project Here
At Legl, events are not “nice to have” brand moments. They are strategic, commercial levers. We use events deliberately to:
- Build trust and credibility with our customers and market
- Create high-quality opportunities for meaningful conversations
- Support pipeline generation and deal progression
- Strengthen relationships across our ecosystem
Strong judgement matters. We care about attendee experience, relevance, and follow-through just as much as we care about scale or volume. A great event is one where the right people are in the room, the purpose is clear, and what happens afterwards is intentional.
What You’ll Do
As Events Marketing Manager (FTC) at Legl, you’ll:
- Own Legl’s events programme end-to-end including sponsored in-person events, hosted breakfasts, panels, roundtables, and webinars
- Run multiple events in parallel, keeping timelines tight and delivery smooth
- Be a strong Project Manager to ensure the events run smoothly
- Design events around clear commercial and customer goals, not just attendance
- Partner closely with Sales to align on objectives, target attendees, messaging, and follow-up
- Ensure events consistently convert into leads, opportunities, and pipeline
- Take responsibility for preparation, briefing, and post-event reporting so nothing falls through the cracks
- Continuously improve how events are planned, executed, and measured
You’ll be trusted to own decisions and expected to stand behind the results.
This Role Is a Great Fit If…
- You are a project-focused events marketer with a proven track record of delivering against pipeline and revenue targets
- Highly executional, with structured plans, clear timelines, and dependable delivery
- Comfortable juggling multiple projects and stakeholders without sacrificing quality or momentum
- Customer-first by instinct, designing events around genuine attendee value
- Experienced in turning events into qualified leads and leads into meaningful sales conversations
- Effective at enabling Sales teams through clear briefs, defined objectives, attendee strategy, and disciplined follow-through
- Value ownership, clarity, and pace, with pride taken in delivering work that drives real commercial impact
This Role Is Not a Great Fit If…
- You prefer events that are purely brand-led with no commercial accountability
- You need heavy process or constant direction to make progress
- You’re uncomfortable owning outcomes end-to-end
- You don’t enjoy working closely with Sales, Customer Operations, and Product teams
- You’re happy to measure success by attendance alone
What’s in it for you:
- We all share in Legl’s success. Everyone at Legl receives a competitive salary & share options.
- ÂŁ250 per year wellbeing budget to spend on anything which contributes to you being your best self
- Access to support sessions with a professional therapist
- ÂŁ1,000 per year L&D budget to prioritise your continued development.
- We love to get together regularly: from Hackathons to Summer & Winter Parties
- An opportunity to join a well-funded, highly ambitious post-Series B startup
